Sutton Wellness was founded by Beth Sutton, MSN, APRN, FNP-C to create an all-encompassing holistic healing experience for our patients. It is our mission is to restore each individual to their optimal state of health. To do that, we partner with each patient in creating individualized holistic treatment plans which take into account the patient’s internal and external environments. In addition to performing advanced diagnostic testing and interpretation, we acknowledge and treat drivers of disease that can’t be uncovered by labs.

Beth Sutton, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner whose work is grounded in extensive clinical training, integrative medicine expertise, and deep personal commitment to patient care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Boston College School of Nursing (Class of 2000) and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Medicine at Sacred Heart University.
Beth’s professional path took a profoundly personal turn when her first child, Luke, experienced a significant developmental regression into autism at 19 months of age. Motivated by both a mother’s determination and a clinician’s curiosity, Beth immersed herself in understanding the complex medical factors affecting her son’s health. This journey reshaped her approach to medicine and health overall.
Today, Beth practices functional medicine with a dedicated focus on chronic and complex medical conditions, working to identify and address the root causes that drive persistent symptoms and illness. Beth has also studied preventive medicine extensively and integrates prevention into the care of every patient helping individuals not only recover their health, but also protect and sustain it long term.
At the heart of Beth’s work is a deep sense of calling to walk alongside patients on their health journey, much like bedside nursing, but in a long-term, collaborative partnership. She believes healing is most effective when patients feel supported, understood, and empowered. Beth considers it a true privilege to partner with individuals and families as they work toward vibrant health.
Beth’s clinical interests include general functional medicine, microbiome restoration, Lyme disease and co-infections, mold-related illness, hormone imbalances, genomics, and PANS/PANDAS.
Beth is licensed to practice in Virginia and Maryland and holds a special telehealth license in Florida, allowing her to support patients across multiple states.
She is an active member of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS), the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP). She is also a member of the Lyme Disease Practitioners' Group led by Tom Moorcroft, a nationally recognized Lyme disease specialist.
